On November 4th, St. Mary’s County Health Department hosted a public paint day at the Health Hub that invited community members to help paint the new mural, made possible through their partnership with St. Mary’s CDC, Arts Council, and CPFCU. Over 50 people came out, took up a paintbrush, and put some color on the walls, completing around 3/4th of the mural in just three hours. Many community members expressed their support for the project and excitement for its final product.

The mural is planned to be completed by the end of November.

Here’s what some of the artists and volunteers had to say:

“The support from the community has been overwhelmingly wonderful” – Sarah Houde, Artist

“Saturday was a successful community mural paint out. We had over 50 people take up a brush and splash on some color of the health hub murals.” – Toni Wolf, Artist
